03:53 am - Bored
Bored out of my mind...

It's 4 am and I'm not tired...

I should be working on my thesis, but I don't want to...so I'm finding random things to do like up date this...

One week and I will have a master's degree...

Just have to:

1. finish my thesis which is already 10 pages over the requirement (requirement = 30 pages) and not complete
2. present my thesis to the class on Tuesday
3. write a paper for my area studies...after my thesis 7 pages is nothing!

Is that all that really stands between me and my degree??

*hides* that's a really scary thought!

I only have 9 more days left in Bangkok. Plus an early birthday party! Hard Rock Cafe anyone? hehe! So I can get my t-shirt for my collection that has really grown this year!

At least I have plans for when I return home which include plans to leave home again as well if I can get the job I want.

Now I will go mess about with email...

Is life going throw anything more at me before I leave?
If dealing with my car, packing and moving weren't enough to deal with, now my dad's cancer has decided to return. ;.; My family is hitting a major crisis and I'm going to be halfway round the world. My parents have already told me I'm going which relieves a little of the guilt. But I still feel bad that I'm not going to be able to help with much if anything. I hope I'll be kept up to date with everything that's going on.
On the plus side with all this stress and busyness, I haven't been eating...really need to work on that...one meal a day not enough... @.@
Going to bed...should get some sleep before tomorrow.

12:23 pm - My poor car ;.;
So I went to see Transformers last night with Theresa, which was very good by the way. I enjoyed it very much until the drive home.
As I was driving down Windsor, I stopped at the light at Highcross Rd. When the light turned green I started to go, then realized that the car in the left turn lane across from me was also going. I tried to slow down, but unfortunately it wasn't enough and the wet pavement probably didn't help matters. Our cars collided on the front left sides. Both of us are fine. I was shaken up when I called 911 and my mom (in that order.) The other driver (a young kid >.<) called some one else.
Since the kid was in a truck, my baby was the only one damaged. The hood is kinda crumpled on the left side with maroon paint on it. The left side of the front bumper is scuffed and scratched and pulling away from the rest of the car just a tiny bit near the wheel. Hopefully I can get it fixed by next weekend when I supposed to go to St. Louis.
Turns out the kid couldn't find his insurance card...nor could his dad who showed up later. >.< Hopefully they call me tomorrow with the information so I can get that figured out. On the plus side, our insurance coverage includes uninsured drivers.
Luckily the police officer was very nice. He let me leave first after writing the accident report since he had to give the kid a couple tickets. No tickets for me, of course.
I came home and spend 20 minutes on the phone with State Farm giving them the information. @.@ I have more phone calls to make in the morning once everything is open.
This is just what I needed before leaving the country. @.@ Like I don't have enough other stuff to do.
Oh well, that's life.

I have wonderful news. ^-^ I got into Webster's Global MA program which means I will be leaving in August and heading to Europe. ^____^ I'll start off in Leiden, Netherlands for 8 weeks then head to London for another 8 weeks. I get a month off for Christmas break which I will not be coming home for (that's way to expensive). Then Geneva and Vienna for 8 weeks a piece then I choose to go back to Leiden, Geneva, or Vienna for the last 8 weeks and finally have my degree by mid-July 2008. I will have an MA in International Relations by my 27th birthday. ^___^ I'm excited and at the same time scared to death. But excitement currently reigns and does for most of the time except late at night, and I know this is an opportunity not to be missed no matter how much I will be in debt by the end of it. I can't wait. ^-^ My break is over. ;.; Back to work for me.

09:07 pm - eeeeee!!!!
Webster offers the coolest MA program ever!! They call it a Global M.A. in International Relations. Basically you spend eight weeks at each of their European campuses (London, Geneva, Vienna, and Leiden) then chose which one you want to spend your last eight weeks. It sounds like something I should totally look into! I've already emailed the graduate department asking for information. The program fees include housing, textbooks, and basic health insurance! Oh I hope they offer it for 2007. *crosses fingers* Doesn't that sound perfect for me?

01:14 pm - Look I'm alive!
Wow I didn't realize how much time has gone by since I last really updated... comment about wearing jeans to work not included...
I find it ironic that the last post I made was about moving considering that's what process I'm going to be beginning soon. A couple months ago Hessel sent us a letter saying they would be raising our rent to $649...YIKES! We currently pay $536. I know we got in on a special deal but that just seems like way too much money. Since I wouldn't be able to pay the rent if we stayed, we have to find a new place to live. Unfortunatly Theresa and I could not find a place that was within our budget that we loved. So we will no longer be roommates. ;.; She did manage to find a one bedroom apartment that will suit her needs. Plus she wants a place she can stay in for a couple years if necessary and I don't know if I can have that stability at this point. I have no idea how long I plan to stay around Champaign. I guess I technically won't be staying in Champaign because I'm moving out to Ogden to house sit for a year with Christina and Kelli. NO RENT or lease good. Distance kinda a down point but will still be saving money.
I don't have much tme left on my lunch break, but I do want to say I really admire the working moms (and dads) who go back to school full time. This semester has taught me going to school practically full time and working full time leaves very little free time. Adding raising children into the mix would make life much tougher.

12:36 pm - Hey, look I finally updated
Wow, it's been awhile since I updated this and lots of things have changed... I no longer work at Blockbuster for one!!! My last day was August 13 about a month and a half after I started at Carle. I like my new job so much better. I can send most grouchy people to someone else to deal with. My co-workers have been amazed at how fast I've learned considering I've never worked in a call center before. I like working 10 hour days when it means I get 3 days off especially and every other week I have Friday, Saturday and Sunday off. Paid leave is a new thing for me as is health insurance of my own. Mom is happy I have the insurance...so was I when I got the nasty thing on my leg. It was an evil boil that made my knee and leg start swelling...it was very huge for boil. Now it's healing well I think. ^-^
OMG WTF BBQ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!-christina
Updating while playing Karaoke Revolution means Christina can add things while I sing...
In other news, I'm moving tomorrow... yes it is fast... Only looked for 2 weeks before finding a good place, closer to home and Theresa's job. Not to mention CHEAPER!! Cheaper is good. So this last week has been a frenzy of packing, sorting, and throwing things out...not to mention working for me plus a bit of overtime last week. I don't recomend working 6 ten hour days in a row. It's very tiring, but at least I had three days off afterwards. ^-^ Anyone who wants to help move tomorrow is welcome to join us...we are offering free pizza and all the non-alcoholic beverage of your choice you can drink as bribes err... rewards for the helpers. Earlier this week I wondered if we could do it, but with lots of hard work and helps from Theresa's wonderful aunts and friends it looks like we're going to do it! Also my wonderful sister is helping me paint my bedframe black so it matches the rest of my room. It's looking good...even if the paint is retarded and doesn't want to cover the white/lavender properly. @.@ So we are waiting for the first coat to dry. Stupid paint...
Fall is finally here... It's so gorgeous outside. Sunny and clear and crisp. Doesn't quite smell like autumn yet, but at least it feels like it. ^-^
